Irv Robinson

Co-founder and CEO
Irv Robinson is co-founder and CEO of Robbie

Irv’s leadership—both inside and outside the company—is responsible for redefining the role of plastic film in consumer packaging.

"Packaging today has unprecedented power over our country's economic bottom line. In one way or another, it will either enhance or decrease the value of every product we make, sell and buy,” he says. “From safety to convenience to sustainability, packaging has major impact on product performance, consumer perception and company profits."

Irv has been active in many industry associations throughout his career. He currently serves on the Flexible Packaging Association Board of Directors (FPA), FPA Sustainability and Flexible Packaging Committee, and the FPA Sustainable Strategy Task Group.

Irv was co-founder of Lenexa National Bank, which was sold to Commerce Bank. He previously served as President of the Lenexa Chamber of Commerce and the Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah, and served on the boards of the Kansas Chamber of Commerce, the Kansas Industrial Council, and Johnson County Industrial Council. He is currently a member of the University of Kansas Hillel Board of Trustees.

Irv has worked for various charitable community organizations and agencies including SafeHome, Community Linc, Sunflower House, Harvesters, and the Jewish Federation.

Irv is committed to his family—all his family.

Irv describes his biggest contribution to the world as “my two awesome adult children.”

He adds, “My Robbie family ranks right up there. We have awesome people and together we have created a fantastic culture. The people here are dedicated and skilled and they care about our customers and each other. We take care of each other; in turn, we take good care of our customers. I care deeply about each of them – their safety, their health, and their futures. We have not had a layoff in 38 years. It’s a fun and joyful place to be.”
